Measurment Mania

Today, as part of our data collecting unit, the students collected data using rulers and yard sticks.  They began by measuring the length of the classroom and reporting it in feet and inches.  They then measured how far they could jump and reported that distance in feet and inches and then just inches.  In our next class, we will  graph our jump data.  We will also discuss why different groups measured different distances for the length of the room.
